The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes are leakproof for wet foods only, like thick dips and yoghurts, thicker sauces etc. They are NOT leak proof for liquids. For that reason, foods such as watermelon and citrus fruits may need a paper towel folded up at the bottom to soak up any additional liquids to prevent liquids from crossing over to other compartments of the lunch box. 

Cleaning the Little Lunch Box Strawberry is easy. Although it can be placed in the dishwasher on a low temperature and the top rack (without the drying program), we recommend hand washing the lunchbox for optimal durability. Please note that we cannot guarantee against possible deformations resulting from improper use of the dishwasher.

Cleaning instructions

Little Lunch Box Co products are all made of durable hard wearing BPA-free, food safe materials. We recommend hand washing in hot soapy water and drying in an open, upright (like a tent) position overnight. 

The Bento boxes are top-rack dishwasher safe at 45 degrees which is a cooler setting than most dishwasher cycles. Please wipe any extra moisture from the inside and outside of the lunch box after the dishwashing cycle is complete. Hotter cycles may cause the lunch box to warp. Hand washing is recommended if you run your dishwasher on a hotter cycle.

We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth.
