Najel Aleppo Olive Soap 30% Laurel Oil (100g)
Pure vegetable olive soap with 30% laurel oil is beneficial for very sensitive skin, irritated or acne. Pure vegetable Aleppo soap of exceptionally high quality, carefully developed according to a traditional recipe.
Aleppo soap is suitable for all skin types and for the whole family. It has a cleansing, softening, nurturing and healing effect on the skin thanks to the combination with laurel oil. Aleppo soap can be used to cleanse the body, face and hair. Prevents premature skin aging, increases skin elasticity and balances the skin.
Aleppo Soap is often recommended by dermatologists. It is considered as an emollient soap because bay laurel oil is added at the end of the saponification process. This completely natural soap is recognized to be an effective treatment for problem skin.
Completely natural, it contains no synthetic scent or preservatives. Its skin care properties are recognized around the world.
Did you know that Aleppo soap is the oldest soap in the world? For thousands of years, it has been cooked by Aleppo's master soap makers and their craftsmanship is still handed down from father to son so we can enjoy its beneficial effects. This traditional know-how was brought to the West by the Crusaders and marked the birth of Marseille soap.
Aleppo soap is an ecological product, free of artificial colorants, synthetic fragrances, palm oil and preservatives. It is made using artisanal methods: the soap paste is obtained by saponification of olive and bay laurel oils. It is then spread out and cut into cubes, before being stamped and dried for a minimum of 9 months.
Unlike industrial soaps, Aleppo soap does not contain palm oil which helps the soap paste dry more rapidly.
Aleppo soap comes from a hot saponification of two select oils: olive oil and bay laurel oil. Olive oil has excellent emollient properties and is a powerful cleanser when transformed into soap. Bay laurel oil has soothing, antiseptic, disinfectant and regenerative properties. For this reason, Aleppo soap with a high percentage of bay laurel oil (30% and above) is advised for dry and sensitive skin. It is recommended for cleansing and soothing irritable and so-called "problem" skin.
Aleppo soap cleanses skin thoroughly and is equally suitable for body, face and hair. It soothes dry scalps and helps fight dandruff.
Which Aleppo Soap to choose
For daily use of Aleppo soap on oily or normal to combination skin, we recommended using a soap with a low percentage of bay laurel oil. For example, Najel's Pure Olive Soaps, 5% BLO or 12% BLO will please all the family.
An Aleppo soap with a high percentage of bay laurel oil (30% and above) is more suitable for dry, sensitive and reactive skins.
Najel has commissioned use tests for its Aleppo soaps to assess skin tolerance.
The results of these tests are as follows:
- Aleppo Soap with 40% bay laurel oil:
Tests carried out under dermatological control on 20 volunteers, with sensitive and reactive skin, aged 19 to 63 years, for 3 weeks with daily use.
The soap has excellent skin tolerance. 96.15% of volunteers gave a positive response and 3.85% a negative response.
Intent to purchase rate was 95% and satisfaction rate was 100%.

About Najel
The AL NAJJAR family has been making authentic Aleppo Soap since 1895 in keeping with ancestral artisanal know-how. Aleppo Soap was the first hard soap and has been manufactured for centuries. It is the ancestor of Marseille soap. This know-how is passed down from generation to generation in the family's soap factory.
Each year from late November to late March, production of the world’s first hard soap starts over again following an unchanged process. The soaps then dry for at least nine months. During this period, the soaps oxidize on the surface and take on a yellow/beige color, whilst the heart of the soap retains the green color of the oils that make it.
Najel’s Aleppo Soap is made from olive oil and bay laurel oil. Saponified olive oil is a powerful cleanser which nourishes, protects and softens skin. Bay laurel oil is known for its disinfectant and regenerative properties. The higher its concentration, the more the soap soothes irritated or problem skin.
